There are a few things that are different in the authorization process for SVCE customers, so we’ve outlined those below. The part that is not different with SVCE customers is that you will have access to the same fast speed data collection and downloads in your Utility API dashboard and API as always.
PG&E customers in Silicon Valley are automatically enrolled in SVCE’s CCA program unless they voluntarily opt out. We recommend that you check with your customer to confirm their enrollment.
How do you know if your customer is an SVCE customer? The cities SVCE supports are: Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Mountain View, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and unincorporated Santa Clara County.
1. It’s free! You will not have to pay to download data from a PG&E customer enrolled in Silicon Valley Clean Energy’s CCA program.
2. Login credentials are not required with the SVCE authorization form. The utility account holder can search for their account several different ways, such as using a linked phone number, address, or email.3. Once the authorization is complete and meters populate in your UtilityAPI dashboard, you can activate the meters to begin collecting the SVCE and PG&E data the same way you always do. The data is downloaded from your dashboard or via API as usual.
