We know that everyone does not have an online account set up. Good news! It is easy to set one up, and we include helpful links to get a utility account holder going.
On our authorization form, under the Username and Password fields, there are links to help them with their utility username and/or password.
The account holder can click on the relevant link to open the options available. Here we link directly to the utility website where account holders can create a new account for the first time, retrieve a forgotten username, or reset their password.
Once they get their account set up or credentials reset, they can copy that information back into our authorization form. The whole process should not take more than a couple of minutes. It may help if the customer has such things as a copy of their bill, SSN and/or Tax ID number available, as the utility may require this information.
Note that we never see the credentials submitted, and the account holder may revoke access at any time. If there are concerns regarding privacy, feel free to click here to read more.
